Another example of why we call my son "King" which is short for "KingSh-t" :-)

So the king gets up at 5am today. I take the 5-6:30 shift and the wife takes the 6:30-8am shift.

While he’s up with me I let him do what he wants. Sesame Street & popcorn? Sure, no problem.

At 6:30 the wife takes over and I try to go back to sleep. She turns off Sesame and puts on the Today Show for herself. And the whole time I’m upstairs I hear Kyle being extremely loud & verbally stimmy & hyper & stressed.

And the wife is saying things like “I know you want to watch one of your shows but you’ve watched and hour & a half of tv already”… “Why don’t you go in your room and read some books”…”It’s not all about you”….”Mommy’s allowed to watch tv too ya know”

And this goes on for over an hour. Then around 7:45am I get up to start getting ready for work and I say to the wife “go back upstairs. you’ve got 45 minutes til I need to leave.”

She goes upstairs. I turn off the tv. And Kyle calms down immediately. I find him in his room playing somewhat quietly with some of his toys.

So I say to him “Oh so King Shit didn’t want to watch one of YOUR shows. You just didn’t want to be forced to listen to one of MOM’s shows, huh. I’m on to you dude. Nicely played you little stinker!”

🙂
