More Autism Julia Content from Sesame Street!

Howdy folks!  As many of you know I work at Sesame Street, and was proud to play a small part in the launch of Sesame’s autism initiative back in 2015.

So I just wanted to write a quick blog post to point you towards Sesame Street’s new autism content launching this week!

In celebration of Autism Acceptance Month this April, we have released new resources focused on bullying, which disproportionately affects children with autism. These resources are available on sesamestreet.org/autism in both English and Spanish.

There’s also an all-new episode with Julia airing Monday, April 8th on HBO and PBS Kids that features Julia getting her haircut!  We know how much of a challenge that can be for ids on the spectrum!

The biggest Julia news (in my opinion) is that we are excited to announce the
introduction of Julia’s family for the first time in Muppet form! Julia’s parents, big brother,
and dog Rose appear in 3 new digital videos celebrating the importance of families.

Here they are for your viewing pleasure.  🙂

1) I Love My Family Song

Families bring us so much love and joy! See how Julia’s family loves and
supports her

2) Julia’s Family Gets Ready

Julia’s family is heading out for an open mic night at Hooper’s store, but they
can’t seem to find everything they need to leave the house. Watch how Julia
helps her family get ready.

3) Julia and Samuel’s Starfish Hug

Abby Cadabby is having a tough day, but Julia and her big brother Samuel
help Abby feel better!

So please enjoy and share and help spread the word!
